Bi-racial Dating 5.11.14

Your Aunty told you today that I might be dating you as if you are a token
You are black
I am white
That just ain't right!
Callin you from elsewhere
to make sure your heart is safe
Does it look like I'm carrying a knife
Ready to attack
This ain't about me
It's about race
Jesus help our eyes see
Jesus help us be honest with ourselves
People giving us advice
To me- "be careful with them black men"
To you- "be careful she doesn't just want to use you to embrace the culture and feed her hunger for a black man"

Really?
It is certainly challenging to our intentions
And manipulates any dust of trust that lay therein
But really?
To categorize the other without any knowledge or words exchanged...
It's the age-old cause of strife, war, despair, heart-breaking
Darkness in the heart
In the form of ignorance

It is our choice: : :

Perpetuate
Or cut at the ROOT and work against

I choose to cut. I choose to fight.
God put you in my life. I didn't put you in my life. May my eyes always be on You, Jesus. I wiorship You for Your creation- not the creation.

You don't know me.
You don't know him.
Well,
I guess I don't even know you.

Thanks for the challenge.
