I am home.
My soul is at rest.
Centered at my best.
My expression is flowing lyrically and I'm glowing inside of me.
Home is where the heart is.
And now I know, it feels like this.

Reflection 8.21.11
So much in this world is external
I scroll through my facebook
I listen to the news
I look around me and there is an empty plate
A water-bottle
A hat
Aimed at self-protection from environmental harms
This is not bad
But its not enough
Do we take time for reflection?
How much of our body is connected to our soul?
Thats my form of digestion

The most elitist of the elite
He's the one yelling of conspiracy on the street
Cuz apparently he knows things the government isn't willing to admit
But the one with the bull horn has all the inside grit
Thanks to the internet, testimonies, and some newspapers
Might as well marry a Quaker
That's a commitment to social justice
And the issue on the street is people are yelling "trust us"
Because they know things the government won't admit
And that knowledge is too tempting not to hit
So pop out your eardrums and tune into this situation
The conspiracy theorists will bring you truth through their vocal vibrations

Comfort of NYC
Written on subway in NYC 8.11.11
The graffiti offers a comfort the meals of Harlem can't
Popeyes doesn't compare with the expression displayed on brick walls, wooden slats, and anything free
Who is to say what is meaningless
The artist knows
And I can't express the comforts of the subway
Always going and going
Destination is: travel
So much diversity
Ethnicties religions ages genders opinions perspectives political ideologies experiences backgrounds
And they all meet on the street of concrete

Realizations
Reflection
You wait for the moment when the epiphany gets set in motion
And the wheels keep rolling on and on
And the knowledge builds
Insight is at your fingertips and you're rapping like this:
Hey, I went outside today
Going on with business as usual like alway
Then a bird flew by me and settled in a tree
I thought, why how beautiful itd be to be a bird for a day
You could get where you want without a thought of mobility in the way
And a bird with one leg still has its wings
And that is why the caged bird sings

NATURALLY HIGH
NATURALLY HIGH 7.31.11 written on flight en route to Boston
Oh hi!
No, are you high?
Am I high?
You accuse me of being high because I use my mind?
Listen, there’s a lot of time to think throughout my daily grind and sometimes that just comes out in conversation
You shouldn’t need persuasion
People can think deep without a ganja induced mental leap
You really make me think you’re stunting your human potential by your marijuana mention because I can be clappy, rappy, and straight up happy without leaves of green
So I’ll keep doing my thing but don’t think it’s because of human inhalation
No it’s a product of 100% raw motivation

NATURALLY DRUNK
NATURALLY DRUNK 7.31.11 written on flight en route to Boston
Am I drunk?
Am I drunk synthetically, no naturally
I don’t need to put something in my veins to make me feel alive
It’s by my very blood my energy thrives
And it seems like a simple question, but it’s actually a human nature mirror session
For it’s truly destructive to think you need to ingest something to make you happy
I’ll talk to you and smile without drinking a frappy
But don’t get me wrong, yes I like my drinks
They might not make me sing but they can make our conversation ring
But once I think I need them for conversation it’s sign of human dehabilitation, a sign of deprogress
For although I can’t say the rest it’s truly a test to see how my greed becomes need
And yes indeed it does and once you start feeding the hunger it can become a raptor continuously searching for prey, til its very last day
So stop, notice, take it slow, meditate and ask yourself, do I need this or is it just part of supposed mandatory social business?
So reflect and I’ll see you on cloud nine with the substances left behind
